excerpt: day's end : a cocktail guide for the corporate soul

The Halt & Catch Fire is a bespoke cocktail created for Day's End.  Its namesake is a classic System 360 instructions joke  and is a riff on a classic cocktail, an Italian Gauribaldi, which combines Campari & orange juice.  Both old and new deliver an unexpected bitter-sweet and pleasantly spicy punch.

Ingredients:

• 1 oz. Campari
• 1 oz. Fireball 
• 1 oz. orange soda
• Juice of half an orange
• dash of spicy bitters (your choice)
• garnish with orange twist if you are a human(, or olive (if you are an AI)
• up or on the rocks; diner's choice

Vibe : Resetting, Electrifying

Accompaniment : Any binge worthy TV series (Halt & Catch Fire, the series an obvious strong contender)
